Build Evolution
As I grow as a driver, establish new partnerships and learn what the car needs to improve on, I’ve continued to evolve the car.
It’s my intention to continue to keep this page up to date. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view parts from previous versions of the car. Currently installed parts are listed in the appropriate category.
If you have any questions about setup or the choices I’ve made, please reach out.
Engine/Drivetrain
When people ask what's been done to the car, power is typically what they're asking about. 2020 started by blowing an engine. By September I completed my first engine build with strong components that should support much more than the 567 wheel torque it’s now making. Below are some of the parts holding it all together.
McLeod Tuner Series 6 Puck Clutch
Kinetix Intake Plenum
Garrett GTX3576 Single Turbo
Whiteline Differential Mount Bushings (eliminate wheel hop)
1050cc Injector Dynamics
G4+ Plug n Play ECU
Mishimoto Baffled Oil Catch Can
OEM 350z Open Differential Welded
Tuned by Cody Loveland
Safety
Safety is the part of the build where I've invested the most. It all starts with a solid roll cage and builds from there.
NRG Gen 3 Quick Release
Sabelt FIA 6-Point Harnesses
Master Battery Cutoff Switch
Formula Drift Spec Cage by TRF
SPA FIA Fire Suppression System
Momo FIA Halo Seats
2.5LBS Fire Extinguisher
Quick Connect HANS
Brakes
The big brake kit is probably overkill, but can you really ever stop too fast?
ASD Motorsports Pull Up E-Brake
Stop Tech Big Brake Kit, Front & Rear
Allow Left Foot Braking (without killing your brake lights)
Cooling
I have a feeling this won’t be the last cooling setup. Keeping the turbo setup cool continues to be a challenge. Hopefully this setup will be substantially better than the last.
Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator
Mishimoto Fan Shroud
Mishimoto Oil Cooler
Wheel Fitment
In addition to the parts listed below, I also still run the OEM 17" wheels as drift spares after I run through the tires on my nice wheels.
AVID1 AV-32: 18x9.5 +30
Suspension
The combination of parts listed below gives me almost everything I could want adjustability wise. The coilovers ride a bit stiff on the street but work very well on the track. I'm able to get more angle than is usable at my current power level with just the lower angle kit parts from Parts Shop Max.
In the future I may consider softer springs, adding a sway bar to the front and getting traction arms for the rear to allow me to dial in toe through the suspension travel arc.
Megan Racing Adjustable Front Upper A-Arms
ISR Performance Pro True Coilovers - 14K/12K
Voodoo 13 Adjustable Rear Camber Arms (spring bucket delete)
Parts Shop Max Super Angle Kit (lower parts)

Nissan Maxima Inner Tie Rods (cut to size after setting width)
Body & Exterior
3M 1080 Gloss Deep Blue Metallic G217

Exhaust
It turns out that turbos are the best way to improve the sound of your exhaust. :)
Custom Crossover Exhaust
Turbosmart 40mm Wastegate
