Two years since my last time at flat Rock Speedway
It felt like a lot longer than two years since my last event at Flat Rock. Then it was with Detroit Drifting Co. and I’ve learned so much since then.
The day was full of environmental challenges. It rained / drizzled on and off all day making the surface unpredictable. The track was in rough shape. I know of at least three drivers who debeaded tires transitioning on or off the banks and there are three or four different surface types on the track. It was a workout.
The event was fun. I got a lot of time behind the wheel tandeming with experienced midwest drifters. I looked at it as one last practice day before GRIDLIFE Midwest in June.
